Welcome to Tenby International School Setia EcoHill.
It is a pleasure to introduce you to our unique school. As part of the Tenby Schools group, we share in a 60-year heritage of delivering international educational excellence within the Malaysian context. In the few years since we welcomed our first students, we have quickly earned a reputation as one of the premier schools in the area.
Environment of excellence
At Tenby International School Setia EcoHill, we are committed to creating a high quality learning environment, founded on the twin pillars of excellence in education and providing students with opportunities to gain meaningful experiences through their time at school.
We take an internationally-minded approach to education, combining intellectual endeavour with a broad range of co-curricular activities, to develop the whole person. To enable our students to give their best academic performance, we blend the best of both traditional and modern evidence-based teaching and assessment pedagogy. Results are constantly reviewed and targets set to encourage constant improvement. We also put great teachers together with great students and give each the resources, facilities and freedom to get on with learning.
Supporting parents and children
We understand that as parents, you want your children to be able to do and be the best they can be. For that reason, we work hand-in-hand with you to support you to nurture your children to grow into persons with strong self-respect and confidence, key tools of a successful future.
Many studies have shown that aside from the school environment, parent engagement is a critical factor in the success of students. As such, we put in a lot of effort to create an atmosphere where teachers and parents feel comfortable working as a team to provide the best for students.
As such, we actively invite parent feedback and welcome parents to get involved in school activities. Our Parents’ Association is a valued partner in ensuring our school is always improving and that students have the best learning environment for their progress.
Skills for success
Our core aim is to prepare our young learners for the adult world. While grades will enable students to graduate to the next stages of their lives, including opening doors to preferred employment, a child’s education is about more than just grades.
With a focus on developing the whole person, we offer as many different learning experiences as possible – both inside and outside of the classroom. We want to ensure your child is given as many opportunities as possible to maximise their potential as they grow and develop through the years. This includes developing positive values and the soft skills that are crucial for success in their future.
We especially want to inspire students to learn to levels that amaze them. Those moments where students can say “I didn’t realise I could do that until now!” are what we call Amazing Learning moments. When we help them amaze themselves enough times, students develop perseverance and confidence, which are key determinants of lifelong success.
We are committed to being a school that facilitates students in this journey to becoming better versions of themselves. This is because we believe that a person of excellent character will bring about excellence to all they do.
